About Digital Detoxopedia

Created by Durga Sahil & Diya to share real stories of screen-free healing.

Our Story

We are Durga Sahil and Diya, childhood friends who went through very different but difficult times — far from each other, but feeling the same kind of stress and tiredness from being online too much.

Durga Sahil Thota

Durga Sahil combines athletic drive and artistic passion: an aspiring soccer player who brings field-like persistence into his self-taught sketching. He has earned awards for his nature-inspired portraits and continues refining his craft. After narrowly missing a TEDx final round, his determination fuels ongoing improvements and a fresh application. Durga Sahil’s resilience whether in soccer training or hours spent drawing demonstrates how following one’s interests builds focus, confidence, and balance.

Diya Ranganath Nallamothu

Diya began inspiring audiences early as a TEDx speaker, showcasing confidence and leadership. She pursues creative outlets piano, calligraphy, and painting to sharpen focus and steady her mind. Motivated by her goal to become a surgeon, she’s taking early steps toward developing fine-motor skills under her father’s guidance. Ambidextrous by birth and a regular swimmer, Diya also built poise as a junior model for US Polo/Pantaloons. Her blend of creativity, discipline, and mentorship exemplifies how personal passions can foster resilience and guide others.

Reflections From Our Detox

Honest Notes from Sketches and Soundscapes

In our quietest moments, we learned the most.

Why Creativity Helped Us Heal

From Mental Noise to Mindful Flow

We didn’t plan to be artists. We just picked up what felt comforting and stuck with it.
Over time, creativity gave us:

  • 🎨 Focus: Drawing helped silence Durga Sahil’s anxious thoughts

  • ✒️ Stillness: Calligraphy became Diya’s daily therapy

  • 🎹 Emotion: Music reconnected us to feeling — not just functioning
